The D-Day Darlings – The Longest Day – D-Day 80

To commemorate D-Day 80, the 80th anniversary of the D-Day landings, the D-Day Darlings have launched a nostalgic music video featuring their new song “The Longest Day’. The video is set against the breathtaking backdrop of The British Normandy Memorial which features a staggering 1,475 giant silhouettes installed by Standing with Giants in honour of the servicemen who fell on D-Day itself.

‘The Longest Day’ was written by Katie Ashby (founder & lead singer of ‘The D-Day Darlings’) and Shelly Mcerlaine (Alisha’s Attic) and produced by Nick Southwood (The Overtones).

The D-Day Darlings are currently on their D-Day 80th anniversary tour where they are fundraising for the Dame Vera Lynn Memorial Statue and the Dame Vera Lynn Children’s Charity.
